Melbourne Model Medicine

As the University moves to the Melbourne Model, the current undergraduate medical degree (the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medical Science) will be phased out to be replaced by a new postgraduate degree which will begin in 2011 (subject to approval).

While planning for the new course is in the early stages, it is anticipated that it will consist of one year on-campus study in the biosciences and three years in clinical schools. Opportunities will exist for medical science research to be conducted as a required component of the degree.
