Ms Julia Ghazarian
Julia is a lecturer in clinical communication skills in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. Her main teaching and research interests are enhancing the communication skills of overseas–born medical students. Julia also provides support for nursing and physiotherapy students.
After studying drama, English and media at the University of Melbourne, Julia’s early experience was in commercial and educational television production. After completing a Master of Education, specialising in teaching English as second language, Julia taught extensively in TAFE and higher education accredited English language courses.
Julia has been a language and academic skills advisor for number of years for business, engineering, medicine and health sciences students at Monash University and RMIT University. Previously, she worked as an International Student Advisor providing specialist language and communication skills support for medical students in clinical attachments at Monash University.
