Dr Ruth Sutherland
Dr Ruth Sutherland is General Practitioner with a strong interest in medical education. She is currently completing her Masters in Clinical Education. She has experience in PBL tutoring and clinical skills coaching, training of International Medical Graduates and she also examines for the Australian Medical Council and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners clinical examinations.She began working at the University of Melbourne in 2006 as coordinator of the General Practice rotation. In 2008 she joined the Medical Education Unit to coordinate the early clinical skills program.

- Coordinates the subjects “Introduction to Clinical Medicine” 1-5
- Coordinates tutor briefing sessions and training sessions for clinical skills tutorials
- Manages the assessment of clinical skills and the professional behaviours of medical students
- Trains OSCE examiners and simulated patients
- Curriculum evaluation and development
