Associate Professor Steve Trumble

Steve Trumble is an Associate Professor in Medical Education.  With a background in vocational training for general practice, Steve’s major interests are in innovative medical workforce solutions especially in the northern and western suburbs of Melbourne.  His other interests are in curriculum development, patient-doctor relationships, and models of effective supervision.  He was Editor in Chief of “Australian Family Physician” from 2003-2008 and completed his MD thesis in 2000 on the topic “Defining the Discipline of Developmental Disability Medicine.

Research interests

A general practitioner by training, Steve's research interests relate to the development and maintenance of generalist clinical competencies, and to the adequacy of medical workforce supply.
