AMS Students
The Medical Education Unit offers an Advanced Medical Science (AMS) unit in Medical Education. Advanced Medical Science is the research year of the University of Melbourne medical degree.
Objectives
The unit (00366 Medical Education) is designed to:
- Introduce students to the principles of adult learning and the processes and practice of research in education with particular application to medical education
- Introduce students to the application and evaluation of educational technology with particular emphasis on medical education
- Enhance research skills through the design and implementation of a supervised independent research project
- Enhance skills of critical appraisal and oral and written communication
